Teaser Tuesdays (Oct. 23)



Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading.
Anyone can play along! Just do the following:


• Grab your current read
• Open to a random page
• Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
• BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
• Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!


My teaser is from The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian by Sherman Alexie.  So far, it has managed to be both heart breaking and funny at the same time. It deals with the main character getting bullied a lot so it's a good choice for October, Anti-Bullying Month. 

My teaser: 

"I grabbed my book and opened it up.
I wanted to smell it.
Heck, I wanted to kiss it.
Yes, kiss it.
That's right, I am a book kisser.
Maybe that's kind of perverted or maybe it's 
just romantic and highly intelligent."

    Love the teaser! I have been meaning to read this book for quite a while but have never managed to fit it in. My teasers this week are from Crewel by Gennifer Albin and Edge of Oblivion by J. T. Geissinger. Happy reading!
