Teaser Tuesdays (Oct.9)


Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:

• Grab your current read
• Open to a random page
• Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
• BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
• Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

This week my teaser is from The Childe by C.A. Kunz.
They heard the trapdoor open and watched 
as a figure came down the tunnel. 
The three girls emerged from the shadows, 
their clothes torn and stained with blood.

    Fantastic teaser! I'm wondering why they're in a tunnel, and I have to know why their clothes are torn and blood-stained and what happens next.

    Hi Alli,

    Great teaser lines there.

    I wonder if the girls are trapped down the tunnel and are waiting to be rescued, if so, why they are covered in blood, are they injured?

    Perhaps they are just waiting for another victim to come down to their lair?

    I guess I have rather a vivid imagination! Despite the fact that this probably isn't a book for me, I really would like to know!
