Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of
Anyone can play along! Just do the following:
• Grab your current read
• Open to a random page
• Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
• BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
• Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!
This week's Teaser Tuesday comes from MrCaptKirk. The following comes from A Game of Thrones which is the first installment in George R. R. Martin's 'A Song of Ice and Fire' series. I have been reading this book for a while, several months in fact. It's not that the book is bad, it's that I just haven't had that much time to sit down and read.
You can find more information about 'A Game of Thrones' and the A Song of Fire and Ice series on Goodreads.
"She opened her arms to the fire, embraced it, let it swallow her whole, let it cleanse her and temper her and scour her clean. She could feel her flesh sear and blacken and slough away, could feel her blood boil and turn to steam, and yet there was no pain. She felt strong and new and fierce"
